Expert designs and builds a replica LEGO® Pumphouse and Tram 47
Te Puawānanga Science and Technology Centre is set to open in late May, and it’s full of surprises and collaborations. One of these includes LEGO® replicas of MOTAT’s Pumphouse and Tram 47 (also known as Big Ben).
The Lego models were designed by Matt Tennent, who describes himself as an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO®). Matt says he has been building with LEGO® for “basically his whole life,” his first Lego set being a gift from his mum.
Matt joined AUCKLUG (Auckland LEGO® Users Group) as an adult to meet people with a similar interest in LEGO®. The group worked on train displays at various shows across Auckland.
The Te Puawānanga project team approached Matt asking him to design and create a scen...

Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well. I am a RUclips video SEO expert. I was analyzing your RUclips channel. I am really impressed by your videos, but your RUclips channel has some issues. You have made many videos, but your RUclips channel is not getting as many views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, and no video tags, if you SEO your videos, your subscribers and views will increase, and your channel will grow. Your video quality is very good, but the channel is not increasing due to not doing video SEO. By doing video SEO, the channel grows faster. I can help you if you want.

Awesome films, brought back happy memories, thanks for posting these 👍 Lots of Onehunga trolleybus scenes, including Church Street & the big ARA Church Street bus/trolleybus depot, note the mustard and white Suburban Buses Ltd Bedfords in that depot rather than the SBL Captain Springs Road depot, ARA took over SBL & PTC on 1st April 1972. The movie playing at the 'Civic' is 'They Still Call Me Trinity'(Terrence Hill still going strong at 83) released on 21/10/1971. Queen Street Onehunga was converted to a pedestrian mall in 1973, sadly the ARA used that as an excuse to shut down the Onehunga trolleybus route. Plus a few mark:3 Cortina's on the roads, they came out in 1971 in NZ. So the time posting fits for 1972. That brown and white DCC trolleybus is from Dunedin, brought up to Auckland by MOTAT, remember seeing it running excursions on the Auckland system, it sadly ended up in a Penrose scrap yard, could see it there from my commuter train in the 1990's.

And to think that within only 8 years they had to double the capacity to 8 lanes by clipping on two more lanes each side, it's hard to believe that somebody didn't realise that the only reason people didn't live on the other side was because it was so difficult to get there. I imagine the way Auckland is expanding it can't be long before they will have to build an even bigger bridge.

Why so vag? What ?your not saying any thing in all your 9 videos. Why when I went on street view in Google maps last night it showed the whole USA most off Africa and under water just a little bit of EU and Canada. In the green it was a NOAA nasa updated web page ? I'm just getting looped around for years spinning my wheels waiting time getting nothing acopleshed but no time wasted going around in circles with videos like this that say nothing.

Great video, For some reason I assumed these aircraft would have come by road in pieces. This was the start of what is now a great aircraft museum, but I have memories of it being quite shambolic in the early days, when the Lancaster was still out the front of the main MOTAT museum. They've come a long way since then. Cheers, Jeremy

This brings back so many memories of going there as a kid, probably about the same time as this footage. The London double decker drove around a few back streets, and the old open deck fire truck took rides with everyone sitting on the back. (it's still there in the station) and the tram which took the loop from the back of Motat up to behind the boiler shed. And also the mechanical organ opposite the fire station, which I believe was decommissioned due to someone stealing a little monkey with a drum which must have been an integral part of it. Oh, and those 'WANTED, dead or alive' posters which they printed with your name on it so you could put on your wall, that was a huge hit with the kids. Also having all the aircraft, including the Lancaster bomber parked up where the playground is now. Great memories for sure.
